Ginger is our current breeder! She is stubborn and headstrong--a trait that made her a troublemaker from the moment she was weaned--but inherited the gentleness and patience that her grandmother, DD, had. She prefers to do things her own way, sometimes using the washroom when it's convenient for her rather than in her litter box on most days, and her favourite past-time is chewing. Ginger's namesake was the breeder before Cera who passed away during labour, and she carries the name proudly. She is the mother of the current litter of 4! Likes: apples, kale, lettuce, spinach. Cera is the spitting image of her late mother. She has the spirit of both her parents and is fiercely protective of her young. Even if she's asleep, the moment she hears any movement near her cage she'll be out and begging for attention. Cera loves giving kisses and is just as adventurous as her father. She successfully gave birth to Petrie's and Hammy's pups, raising a total of 15 babies! Likes: apples, kale, lettuce, spinach.

Choji arrived at the rescue at the age of 6 years old. He has an illness that vets can't pinpoint, but because it is potentially contagious he's required to be housed alone. Unusually, Choji prefers to be alone regardless; he has scars from his brother when they were young. He's very relaxed and loves to hang out everywhere! He loves playing outside in the grass. While guinea pigs are typically vocal and chatty, Choji prefers to stay quiet unless he's protesting against going back in his enclosure for the night. Chicken Nugget arrived at the rescue when her previous owner experienced a personal emergency that required her immediate re-homing. At their request, Chicken Nugget became a permanent resident and quickly fit in as one of the sweetest dwarfs we had ever worked with. Now, at the age of almost 2 years old, she has become more cranky and short-tempered but still surprises us with her energy and enthusiasm. Likes: apples, kale, lettuce. Not fond of: spinach.
